How can we help?

Popular questions

Do I need to host a playable demo to sell?
Yes. A hosted demo is the only way a buyer can verify the game before paying. It can live anywhere: itch.io, GitHub Pages, CodePen, or your own domain. The link just needs to work at checkout.
Who owns the game after the sale completes?
The buyer receives full intellectual property at checkout: source code, assets, the live URL and any accounts named in the listing. Your ownership ends the moment the transfer is confirmed.
What protects me if something goes wrong with a sale?
Every payment sits in escrow for a 7-day dispute window. If the delivered files don't match the listing, either side can raise a dispute and our team mediates using the listing, the chat history and the escrowed files.
Can I sell a game that's still in development?
You can, as long as the demo is playable and the listing clearly states what is finished and what isn't. Listings marked “in development” show a notice to buyers and have a longer median time to sale.
Which countries can receive payouts?
PayPal works in over 200 countries and regions. Direct bank transfer is available in the EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia and India. You set your payout method in the dashboard under Payouts.
